What happens to my phone service if my electrical power goes out?

MHVoice provides homes with phone service using a Network Interface Unit that requires electrical power in the home. As is the case with most cordless phones, MHVoice equipment will not work in the event of an electrical power outage, and you will not be able to make or receive calls, including 911 calls. This includes electrical power outages that are not necessarily at your home but are occurring on the lines which feeds the cable service to your area. Please note that if your Cable service and modem service has been shut off for any reason, your cable phone will not operate.
