Sun Outages

Attention Video Subscribers:

Sun Outages – During the Spring and Fall each year sun outages result in the degradation or loss of satellite signals for short periods of time. During these times, the sun is positioned directly in line with the ground-based satellite dish antennas used to receive the programming. This positioning causes programming interruptions as the sun’s energy overpowers the C and Ku band signals transmitted by the satellites. Your set top converter may display “One Moment Please” during these interruptions.

Sun outages can affect our video services between September 28th through October 15th. Sun Outages can last anywhere from less than a minute to approximately ten minutes.
